The Mediterranean Games, which will take place in Algeria on June 19, the active participation of all 26 National Olympic Committees in the committees and the operations of the ICMG and the organisation of an important Mediterranean event in Montenegro in the near future, were the main topics of discussion between the President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee (MOC), Dusan Simonovic and the Secretary-General of the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICMG), Iakovos Philippoussis. "It was indeed a great pleasure and an honour to have had the opportunity to visit the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, representing the ICMG President Tizzano and our entire organisation. We had a long and truly productive discussion with President Dusan Simonovic and his excellent team. We really appreciate their effort, which is important for the Mediterranean family and which is based on its values", the ICMG secretary-general said after the meeting. President Simonovic emphasised the MOC's commitment to the Mediterranean Games and the new project “Sea Unites us all” which unites three continents and includes the Mediterranean spirit of peace, friendship, unity and solidarity. He also expressed his satisfaction that the Montenegrin Olympic Committee would bring together the entire Mediterranean family at the future ICMG event, which will be organised in Montenegro. This was the first visit of the current ICMG official to the Montenegrin Olympic Committee.
