On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, exactly 500 days before the start of the Olympic Games in Paris, the French embassies around the world organized a twenty-four-hour sports relay that crossed five continents and covered all time zones. A total of 128 French diplomatic missions participated in this event by organizing one-hour sports activities from 9 to 10 a.m. local time. This is the first event of its kind that testifies to the unique power of sport to bring people together, thanks to the energy of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In this context, and on the occasion of the start of this year's celebration of Francophonie, the French Embassy in Montenegro organized an event in the Gorica Park called "Sport and Francophonie", which brought together about 80 high school students from Podgorica who are learning French. The award ceremony was held in the Gorica Park in the presence of H.E. Christian Thimonier, the Ambassador of France to Montenegro. The French Embassy and the French Institute of Montenegro rewarded the winners with a trip to France. The Secretary General of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Igor Vusurovic, attended the event, and the Montenegrin Olympic Committee and Montenegro were part of the network made up of the energy of sports, which brings people together in the values of Olympism.
