The President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee (MOC), Dušan Simonović, and the Executive Director of the MOC, Predrag Marsenić, met today with the Secretary General of the European Weightlifting Federation (EWF), Prof. Dr. Milan Mihajlović. The Secretary General of the EWF briefed the representatives of the MOC on the upcoming activities of the federation, and the main topic of the meeting was the EWF's interest in forming a National weightlifting federation in Montenegro, as one of the few European countries where organized engagement in this sport is still lacking. The President of the MOC expressed readiness to support the future establishment of the NF, in one of the oldest Olympic sports, with the belief that both the European and World weightlifting federations will make significant efforts to promote this sport in Montenegro and secure its place in the family of Olympic sports. Prof. dr Mihajlović thanked the President of the MOC for the support, confident that this is only the beginning of a future successful collaboration with the Montenegrin Olympic Committee.
