The Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts (CANU) and the Montenegrin Olympic Committee (MOC) signed a cooperation agreement today. This Agreement aims to enhance sports and national interests in Montenegro while promoting Olympic values. The Agreement was signed by the president of CANU, academician Dragan K. Vukčević, and the president of the MOC, Dušan Simonović, at the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts. Through this Agreement, the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Montenegrin Olympic Committee established a common interest in cooperation. The Agreement includes improving knowledge and research and development capacities of Montenegrin sports, working on the Encyclopaedia of Montenegro and other lexicographic projects, as well as publications in the field of sports, holding joint thematic gatherings, round tables, and forums, and organizing exhibitions and other activities of significance for the public interest in sports. To monitor the implementation of tasks and duties under this Agreement, a Coordination Board of four members will be formed. The signing of the Agreement was also attended by Igor Vušurović, Secretary-General of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee; Maja Peković, Deputy Secretary-General of the MOC; Predrag Marsenić, Executive Director of the MOC; Novak Vukadinović, Chief of the CANU Service department; and Ana Minić, independent advisor in the CANU Presidency.
