The President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dušan Simonović, had the honour of opening the 21st International Scientific Conference on Sports Sciences, which took place from April 18th to 21st, 2024, in Cavtat. The Montenegrin Sports Academy from Podgorica organised the conference, attracting numerous experts in sports, physical activity, and health. This year's conference theme was "Sport, Physical Activity, and Health—Contemporary Perspectives." The goal was to discuss the latest research and trends in sports sciences that contribute to a better understanding of the impact of sport and physical activity on individual health. President Simonović emphasised the importance of continuous collaboration between academic circles and sports organisations. "Collaboration is key to progress in every field, and sports sciences are no exception. This conference is a great opportunity to connect, exchange knowledge and experiences, and work together on advancing the sports field," he said. During the four days of the conference, participants had the opportunity to attend numerous lectures, workshops, and panel discussions. Speakers were eminent experts from various countries, further enriching the program and facilitating the exchange of international experiences and practices. The conference in Cavtat once again confirmed its role as a significant forum for promoting a scientific approach in sports and health, continuing the tradition of successful organisation and exceptional contribution by the Montenegrin Sports Academy to the global sports and academic community.
