Winter Olympic Games – Visit to the Montenegrin Delegation at the Olympic Village in Bormio

The President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dušan Simonović, together with representatives of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Director General of the Directorate for Sport Zoran Jojić and Head of the Department for International Cooperation Ana Milačić, visited the heads of the Montenegrin delegation, who are staying at the Olympic Village in Bormio.

During the visit, President Simonović discussed with members of the expert and operational staff the conditions for preparations and the organisation of the team’s work, bearing in mind that members of the delegation are located at different and mutually distant locations.

The expert staff reported that Montenegrin representatives in both Olympic villages have very good conditions for final preparations and the start of competition. Prior to departure, a Deputy Head of Mission was also appointed in Predazzo, in order to ensure the smooth functioning of all organisational and logistical segments.

As a reminder, Montenegro is represented at the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games by two athletes – Branislav Peković in alpine skiing and Aleksandar Grbović in Nordic skiing. The appearances of our representatives are expected on 10 February, when Grbović will compete in the sprint (classic technique) and on 13 February in the 10 km (free technique), while Peković is scheduled to compete in the slalom on 16 February.
