State Honours Presented to Nikola Vučević and Jovanka Radičević

The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, today presented state honours to individuals whose work has left a lasting mark on the development, international affirmation and preservation of the values of modern Montenegro. Among the recipients, following a proposal by NOC Montenegro, were distinguished Montenegrin athletes Nikola Vučević and Jovanka Radičević, in the year marking twenty years since the restoration of Montenegro’s independence.

NOC Montenegro submitted the proposal guided by the achievements and contributions through which both athletes have shaped the modern history of Montenegrin sport.

Nikola Vučević, an ambassador of Montenegrin sport, two-time NBA All-Star and long-standing national team player, is one of Montenegro’s most recognisable athletes internationally.

Jovanka Radičević, winner of Olympic silver, European gold and European bronze medals, has left a lasting legacy in Montenegrin, European and world handball.

We congratulate the laureates and thank President Milatović for recognising the importance of their contribution to Montenegrin sport.
