Montenegro offered good resistance to the world champion

The water polo team of Montenegro was defeated at the start of the Olympic tournament in Paris. The selected team of coach Vladimir Gojković lost in the first round of Group A against the current world champion Croatia 11:8 (3:1, 2:4, 3:1, 3:2).

After an even game in the first two quarters, Croatia solved the question of the winner with a series of four consecutive goals at the end of the third and the beginning of the last quarter, for a lead of 10:6. In our selection, on whose goal Dejan Lazović stood out with ten saves, Bogdan Đurđić was the most effective with three, Vlado Popadić scored two, and Stefan Vidović, Đuro Radović and Vladan Spaić each scored a goal.
