Preparation program LA28

The Montenegrin Olympic Committee, in cooperation with the companies Artifit from Belgrade, FITREVOLUTION from Nikšić, and with the support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and Olympic Solidarity, launched an advanced and comprehensive program of preparations for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028. This initiative represents a revolutionary effort to increase the competitiveness of Montenegrin athletes through a data-driven approach, holistic support and the application of state-of-the-art technologies, with a special focus on mental and physical health.

At the heart of the LA28 program is an athlete-centric framework that emphasizes personalized development. Initial evaluations planned for early 2025 will include detailed physical assessments, such as body composition analysis, mobility tests and metabolic analyses. These evaluations will provide a basic understanding of each athlete’s capacity and identify areas for targeted improvement. Based on the obtained results, customized conditioning programs will be created, designed according to the specific needs of each athlete, taking into account their sports discipline, gender and developmental stage.

The program integrates advanced technology through the National Sports Platform, developed in partnership with Artifit. This platform uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze data from various sources, such as training records, health data and psychological assessments. By aggregating this information, the platform generates personalized reports that include insights into physical performance, injury risks and mental health. In addition, the platform offers data visualization tools and mobile applications to track athletes’ progress in real time, enabling timely adjustments to optimize performance.

Nutrition plays a key role in the LA28 program. Each athlete will receive a customized nutrition plan designed to enhance performance, accelerate recovery and improve overall health. These plans will be based on metabolic tests and adapted to the energy requirements of the specific sport. Regular evaluations of body composition and adherence to the nutrition plan will ensure that nutritional strategies remain aligned with performance goals, supporting athletes to maintain peak physical form throughout the Olympic cycle. In addition, each athlete will receive a plan and recommendations for supplementation.

Mental health and psychological resilience are also priorities in this program. Athletes will undergo comprehensive mental profiling to identify their strengths and areas that require improvement. He will regularly participate in psychological sessions focused on stress management, mental resilience, goal setting and visualization techniques. The goal of these activities is to equip athletes with the mental tools needed to succeed in stressful situations, such as those at the Olympic Games.

The program’s phased approach ensures continuous development and adaptation. Initial assessments in January and February 2025 will be followed by periodic evaluations to measure progress. These evaluations include advanced metabolic tests, detailed physical condition analyses, and psychological examinations. The collected data will be fed into the AI-platform, enabling continuous optimization of training strategies, nutrition and mental preparation. This process ensures that each athlete receives support tailored to their changing needs and challenges.

The benefits of the LA28 program go beyond individual athletes. By giving coaches and sports professionals access to detailed insights and advanced tools, the program improves the overall capacity of the Montenegrin sports ecosystem. Training sessions for professionals are focused on using the platform and interpreting its results, enabling them to make informed decisions about athlete development. This transfer of knowledge ensures the sustainability of the program and positions Montenegro as a leader in innovative sports preparations.
