II session of the Board of Directors of MOC

The Management Board of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee (COK) held its second session this year, where key reports and strategic documents were adopted. Important decisions were made on the participation of Montenegrin athletes in international competitions, improvement of the sports system and financial support to national associations.

At the beginning of yesterday’s session, the report on Montenegro’s performance at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Bakuriani was adopted. The Montenegrin delegation was led by the young skier Danijela Medenica, who competed in alpine skiing.

In parallel with the analysis of the previous performance, the Steering Committee considered the preparations for the Games of Small Countries of Europe (IMZE) in Andorra in 2025. The report on previous activities was adopted, and Ivan Bošković was appointed as the head of the mission, while Ivan Ječmenica was proposed for membership in the IMZE Technical Commission.

The Plan of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee for 2025 was also adopted at the session, which defines key goals and priorities in the development of Montenegrin sports, with an emphasis on international competitiveness and support for athletes.

The Board of Directors discussed the Rules on the types and disciplines of sports, which will be finalized after the submission of the necessary data from the Shooting Association and the Water Polo and Swimming Association. Also, the Regulation on the categorization of sports for the period 2025-2027 was adopted. year, with corrected technical errors and respected comments of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, which further refines the sports categorization system.
